Dr. Eric R. Serrano, MD

Dr. Serrano is a graduate of Kansas State University and earned his medical degree from Kansas University. Dr. Serrano is a medical doctor, former professor at two universities, researcher, lecturer, and author, and has helped formulate several dietary supplements for pre and post-workout recovery, and fat loss. Currently, he operates a family medical practice in Pickerington, Ohio. One will never have an idea of what extreme demand exists for Dr. Serrano’s services, which is obvious by viewing a message log full of inquiries from elite athletes, strength coaches, and related practitioners around the world. He is truly the expert of experts, the one the elite come to for guidance and information. 

Dr. Eric Serrano MD is the ace sought out by elite athletes around the world for help with the most difficult of problems. A wide array of athletes from the NFL, NHL, and MLB in addition to countless elite amateurs make up Eric’s elite client list of athletes. His cohesive expertise comes from years of practicing medicine. As an athlete and family man, Eric understands the needs of his clients and pushes himself to stay on the cutting edge of training, supplementation, nutrition, and injury rehabilitation.

Jody has worked in the medical field since 2006 and her practice as a Nurse Practitioner is in an alternative medical clinic that specializes in hyperbaric oxygen therapy, ozone therapy, IV vitamin and mineral infusions,  regenerative therapy (PRP, Prolozone, stem cells) and other alternative therapies.

Alyx Huffman - MSN, APRN, FNP-C

Alyx Huffman is a board-certified family nurse practitioner who has always had a passion for holistic and integrative medicine. Alyx is credentialed through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Otterbein University and her Master of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain University. Along with alternative medicine, Alyx’s experience in the nursing field encompasses primary care, trauma care, pre and post-surgical care, endoscopy nursing, intravenous hydration therapy, and plasma donation. Her experience has reinforced the importance of understanding the root cause of illness and chronic disease in order to optimize health. Alyx enjoys spending time with patients and exploring holistic options to help personalize a treatment plan uniquely for them. Alyx loves to cook, spend time outside, travel with her husband, and spend time with her family and friends

Marissa Moore - RN, NP Student

Marissa is a registered nurse who obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree through Bowling Green State University. Her nursing career started in labor & delivery and then she moved to Columbus two years ago to work in an emergency department, which was a level II trauma center. Marissa is currently enrolled in a psychiatric nurse practitioner program while working as a registered nurse. Marissa cares deeply about her patients and emphasizes healing as a whole including mind, body, and spirit, and is excited to help patients with a psychiatric approach in the future. She finds importance in helping those and contributing to care plans in an individualized aspect rather than treating everyone the same.

Carrie Saba - Office Manager

Carrie Saba has joined the clinic to support our team and patients as our office manager. She had her own coaching practice for thirteen years as a certified Health Coach and Emotional Freedom Technique (tapping) practitioner and worked with clients one-on-one. Her background also includes Human Resources with a specialty in Training and Development. She has always had an interest in helping others and learning more integrative and natural approaches to health and wellness.

Melissa Peppel - Respiratory Therapist

Melissa Peppel has been a registered respiratory therapist for 27 years. She has had experience in the NICU, Critical Care, ICU, Open Heart Recovery and ER at Riverside Hospital. Melissa graduated from Columbus State with honors. She has always had an interest in natural medicine and has done extensive research on many modalities including the ones offered at our clinic. She loves working with people and enjoys being a part of their healing journey.

Tayler Ross - MSN, APRN, FNP-C

Tayler is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. She earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Mount Carmel College of Nursing and her Master of Science in Nursing at Chamberlain University. Tayler’s prior experience as a registered nurse was primarily in Obstetrics and Newborn care. Tayler worked as a mother-Infant and Nursery nurse for over 3 years. Prior to working on Mother-Infant, she worked as a Post-Surgical and Trauma nurse. She has been in the health care field for 8 years.

Tayler has a passion for improving patients’ quality of life and helping them succeed in their wellness journey. Together, she will work with you to come up with a treatment plan that will meet your expectations. She is very passionate about alternative and holistic health care and is excited to help you improve your quality of life!

Bernadette Basso - Respiratory Therapist.

Bernadette is a registered respiratory therapist. She earned her degree from Columbus State Community College. Bernadette’s prior experience as a respiratory therapist included emergency and critical care, post-op, and floor care.  She has been in the healthcare field for over 30 years.  She enjoys caring for her patients and providing them with alternative therapies for their health and well-being.  
She has witnessed remarkable results in patients who have experienced the healing power of oxygen.

Courtney Cox - In process of achieving her nursing license

Courtney started with the team early in 2021. She has worked in the medical field in the float pool in hospitals and private practice for 6 years prior, doing everything from basic care to working with, preop and postoperative surgeries, wounds and injury practices. 

Courtney enjoys helping others and trying to better someone’s quality of life. In her time at home she enjoys spending time on the farm and spoiling her many pets.

Christine Meeting - MSN, APRN, FNP-C

Chris Meeting has been in the nursing profession for 14 years.   She has worked alongside some of the best doctors and nurses.  She initially began her career working in a well-known burn and surgical unit in Ohio.  She is also familiar with woman’s health where she spent the majority of her nursing career.  In 2017 she obtained her Master’s Degree from Chamberlain College of Nursing.  She is certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.  Since graduation, she has been working in hyperbaric and alternative medicine.  She strives to be an active listener and develops the best plan of care for maximizing overall health and wellness.  She enjoys spending time with family and loves to be outside when the weather is cooperating.  

Margaret Legenza MSN, APRN, FNP-C

Maggie is a Family Nurse Practitioner certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing degree from Walsh University in Canton, Ohio. Maggie previously worked in both critical care and oncology. Maggie chose alternative medicine when seeing the significant and positive impact on her own family member. Her goal is to promote the health and wellbeing of her patients. When not working, Maggie loves to spend time with her daughter and family. 

Teppi Lucas - RN, BSN

Teppi Lucas is a registered nurse. She started her nursing career as an LPN in 2006, when I graduated from Akron School of Practical Nursing.  She has done bedside nursing on a medical-surgical floor and worked at a nursing home doing skilled nursing/wound care.  She earned my registered nursing degree in 2012 from Lorain Community College.  After working as a private duty nurse for several years she decided to pursue a different area of medicine. She have always been interested in alternative medicine and all the health benefits to be gained from it. She enjoy spending time with my family. As a mother of 7 children, they have given her ample opportunity to practice my nursing skills.

Jessica Gross - FNP-C

Jessica Gross FNP-C, is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She earned her Bachelors of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Toledo and her Masters of Science degree in Nursing from Otterbein University. She is also certified in Functional Medicine, Polarity Therapy, and as a Holistic Health Advisor. Jessica’s prior experience as a registered nurse was predominantly in the acute and intensive care setting. Working in that field, she has clinically seen the effects of under-managed chronic diseases. The desire to educate people on prevention and wellness in order to avoid these effects is what motivated her to further her education in Nursing and become a Nurse Practitioner. Jessica’s experience as a Nurse Practitioner has been as a member of an interdisciplinary team that has included chiropractic doctors, exercise physiologists, nutritionists, and massage therapists. She provides services such as trigger point injections and joint injections to quickly decrease pain and increase mobility. The use of both conventional and complementary therapies and treatments promotes healing to the fullest.
